For Barbara Fant, a 2010 ODU alumna, poetry is a way to process and communicate—for Barbara poetry is prayer. She has been writing poetry for more than a decade and has performed her work in venues across the country. She is inspired by Columbus’ thriving arts community, particularly the young artists who are truly dedicated to their art and always striving to grow and go deeper and soar higher.
