Ohio Dominican University (ODU) has entered into a partnership with OhioHealth that will give dependents of OhioHealth’s 30,000 employees the ability to pursue and complete a bachelor’s degree at more than half off the current cost of tuition. Through this partnership, those dependents would be able to apply for a scholarship that would allow them to attend ODU full time at more than 60% off the current tuition rate, which is a savings of approximately $20,000 per year, or as much as $80,000 over the course of their four-year education.

The tuition benefit will be available to OhioHealth associates starting this upcoming fall 2022 semester. ODU is still accepting applications and deposits for students interested in joining its fall incoming class.

Both first-time and transfer students will be eligible to receive the scholarship, which is renewable for up to eight semesters. The scholarship replaces any additional institutional aid for which students may qualify; however, students may still be eligible for need-based aid from other non-university sources. The scholarship does not cover costs associated with textbooks and supplies, course fees, private lessons, room and board, or other miscellaneous fees. Students also must meet certain requirements to maintain eligibility, including enrolling on a full-time basis (at least 12 credit hours) and maintaining a 2.5 GPA.

If you are an OhioHealth associate and you would like to take advantage of this partnership, you should send your verification of employment documents (resources for accessing this document are available here and here) to admission@ohiodominican.edu.

OhioHealth associates who are interested in learning more about this scholarship should contact OhioHealth’s Office of Human Resources at HRRC@ohiohealth.com.
